Ipswich Town have announced details of several pre-season friendlies arranged for this summer, with a tour of Holland forming part of the Blues’ preparations for 2011/12.

Seven matches have so far been confirmed for July this year, starting with another trip to the Netherlands. Town will take on Eerste Divisie (Dutch second division) side FC Eindhoven on 12 July before travelling north to face FC Den Bosch on 14 July. The Blues had previously played in Holland last summer, when they fell to a 1-0 defeat away to Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.

Upon returning to England, Ipswich will take a reserves XI to face Blue Square Premier side Cambridge United on 19 July (KO 19:45), whilst a further match will take place the following day at Ryman League Premier Division side Bury Town, whom the Blues beat 1-0 in the same fixture last summer. Paul Jewell will then take his team to face League Two Southend United and League One Colchester United on 22 July and 26 July respectively (both KO 19:45), before a Blues XI travel to Ryman Division One North club Needham Market on 27 July.

Further fixtures are likely to be announced in the weeks to come, with at least one match at Portman Road sure to be arranged. Full details of Ipswich Town’s pre-season programme will be available on the Club’s Official Website in due course.
