Back In The Saddle

Former Ipswich boss Roy Keane could be set for a return to football management.

Keane hasn’t been ‘the boss’ since he left Ipswich over three-years ago, since which time he has become more recognisable with his no-nonsense views as a pundit working on TV but did get back into coaching when he became Martin O’Neill’s number with the Irish national side.

One of O’Neill’s former sides is Celtic and they are looking for a new boss.

Claims in the Irish Independent say that Keane has held ‘informal talks’ with the Scottish champions about becoming their next boss.

Getting some silverware on his management CV would almost certainly be achieved, or at least should be, if he returned to management with Celtic but if this is a ‘challenge enough’ to get him ‘back in the saddle’ remains to be seen….
