Pablo Counago missed an 86th minute sitter that probably would have won the game for Ipswich, in a game that they deserved to win. Dean Gerken in goal for Bristol City was the home side’s hero with a string of fine saves, including the Spaniard’s close range effort with just four minutes on the clock. However, Roy Keane must be wondering what his side have to do to score, as they amassed 21 shots on goal.

It wasn’t all one way traffic however, as Danny Haynes who left Portman Road to join the Robins in the summer, perhaps inevitably came closest against his old side but he was twice denied by the post.

The game was yet more proof that Ipswich are at least becoming harder to beat, and a performance like that against Peterborough on Tuesday night will surely result in a Town win. Happy days!
