League 2 side Boston and League 1 Blackpool have been alerted to the Towns Dean McDonald after the 19 year old had a good spell on loan at Hartlepool.

The loan period at Victoria Park led to the Monkeyhangers making a £75k bid which Ipswich turned down

The 2 new interests are only for loan moves and Hartlepool have yet to make an increased bid, so the popular Town man seems likely to stay for the time being

Joe Royle on the interest shown:

“We will have to see if Hartlepool want to meet our valuation but they have not come back to us so far.

“We have had other clubs asking about taking Dean on loan but there is no point in that’

“There are clubs interested in Dean but we would only consider them if the price was right and the cash could help us in other areas.’

I spoke to Dean earlier tonight and asked him about his future:

“I don’t want to leave Ipswich, I really like it here and have made some good friends’

“I did enjoy playing there (Hartlepool) and the fans were great to me’

“If the clubs do agree a fee, I will speak to them (Hartlepool) and see what they have to say, though I want to be playing in the first team here’

I personally would not like to see Dean leave the club just yet and only hope Joe gives him more of a chance in the Town first team.
