Derbys’s 26 year old forward Emanuel Villa has been highlighted as the ‘Dangerman’ for Town’s upcoming game against Derby.
Villa is a tall and typical number 10 striker, who will win lots in the air and be ready to pounce on any defensive mix up. He has a decent amount of pace which sees him running the channels a reasonable amount to create chances for Nathan Ellington, his usual strike partner.
The striker signed for Derby last season January, during their failed Premiership campaign. Villa was a £2m signing from UAG Tecos, a Mexican club in the top division.
Villa managed 3 top flight goals before Derby were relegated back down to the Championship.
He has been a regular starter this season and already has 6 goals to his name.
Villa and Ellington make a formidable strike partnership together, with a combined 12 goals between them this season. However, as 9 of them have come in the League Cup the partnership needs to start firing in the league to lift Derby up the table.
