Two Changes For Town Tonight

Ipswich Town go into tonight’s encounter at Portman Road with two changes from the side that defeated Accrington Stanley. In come, Conor Chaplin and Freddie Ladapo, and they replace Tyreece John-Jules and Kayden Jackson, who are on bench-warming duties. Also on the bench is new signing Gassan Ahadme, who could again be involved.

It promised to be another electric atmosphere this evening because, as a rule, Tuesday night matches have a little bit of something extra.  It’s the Je ne sais quoi aspect that makes night matches here a bit different from the norm.

I am predicting a 3-1 win for Ipswich, and if Town are victorious they will stay at the top of the football tree – although it is likely they will be joined again by Portsmouth, who face bottom-of-the-table Burton Albion. Come on you Blues!

Here are the teams:

Ipswich Town: Walton, Donacien, Woolfenden, Burgess, Burns, Evans, Morsy (captain), Davis, Chaplin, Harness, Ladapo.

Substitutes: Hladky, Leigh, Ball, Edwards, John-Jules, Ahadme, Jackson.

Bristol Rovers: Belshaw, Gordon, Kilgour, Finley (captain), Collins, Anderson, Clarke, Evans, McCormick, Hoole, Thomas.

Substitutes: Jaakola, Westbrooke, Marquis, Jasper, Coutts, Saunders, Whelan.
