Would you Adam and Eve it, Town win away and show grit and determination.
Even though DJ Campbell missed a penalty after 16 minutes he soon had Charlton in a spin by finishing a superb move started by the twinkle-toed Lee Martin.
The winger, who had been sent out on loan to the Valley by Roy 0rubbish manager’ Keane, soon rocked the Robins when he hit acorker which ewas saved by ben Hamer but followed up by Daryl Muprhy to take Ipswich into a comfortable two-goal half-time lead.
Chris Powell, the dignified Charlton manager, made two changes at the break and it paid off as they bossed the Blues in the second half.
Danny Haynes, yes he who used to be our Norwich destroyer, netted a consolation from the spot after Martin brought down Solly.
While the Ipswich of old, under Jewell, Keane and Magilton, would have folded, this lot under Mccarthy scrapped to hold on to win.
