Ugly as this was it was another point and let’s face it survival is more importnat than fancy football right now.
Manager Mick McCarthy did not even bother disguising his intent as he dropped attack-minded Carlos Edwards, Jay Tabb and Daryl Murphy and in form striker David McGoldrick but got what he wanted – a clean sheet, our eight in 11 games, and a vital point.

Not surprisingly, Michael Chopra missed chances, but so did Luke Hyam who despite running 13km on Saturday still started.

Liam trotter was once again Millwall’s stand out player, why on earth did Keano let him go?.

It was Trotter who struck the game`s first shot, curling a 25-yard half-volley wide with the swirling wind helping it on its way past the post.
Andy Keogh had the ball in the net for the Lions but was ruled offside.
Frank Nouble did well enough but he is no McGoldrick, while Aaron Cresswell was a bit of amenace too.
Town defended well with Tommy Smith sheding blood for the cause and we held on to get a draw.
