Ipswich have brought in another striker prone to getting into scrapes.

Mick McCarthy has succeded where Paul Jewell failed in securing Tyonne Barnett, who was transfer-listed by Peterborough after an early morning episode outside a bar called Halo.

The not-so-angelic 27-year-old forward only joined the Posh in a permanent deal in the summer from Crawley, even though the Blues were keen on him.

Barnett has been the subject of interest from a host of Championship clubs including Birmingham, Barnsley and Brighton but McCarthy appears to have won the race to sign him on loan.
Barnett will not be allowed to play against Posh on Saturday and will NOT be allowed to go for a quiet drink with his new teammates after the match, as he could make his debut the following Tuesday.
