Ipswich have signed a shirt deal with owner Marcus Evans to have his companies name on their shirts for the next 5 years.
‘The Marcus Evans Group’ will be displayed on the front of the shirts, with a new away shirt being launched next season.
The fee is undisclosed but is believed to be worth around £4 million, with extra financial benefits should Town reach the Premiership.
Derek Bowden said “Evans is determined to see this club return to the Premier League and this deal will help us achieve that.”
Does this deal mean that Marcus Evans will be reluctant to dip into his own pocket to give Jim transfer funds this season or does it show a sign of his long-term commitment?
