With Championship status confirmed, all Town players will learn their fate over the next 48 hours.
Blues boss Mick McCarthy said ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Burnley all those coming to the end of their contracts, those on loan and those he doesn’t want to keep, will be informed and moves will then be made to sort out contracts.

Mick McCarthy says Town`s out of contract players will know where they stand for next season by this weekend.

The Town boss is in the process of speaking to the players in his squad whose deals expire this summer, with Lee Martin, Andy Drury and Arran Lee-Barrett included in that group.

McCarthy told the club site: “There will be a retain list that we have to issue but the players will all know what they will be doing by the end of the weekend.

“I have also spoken to our loan players but they will be going back to their clubs after the weekend. They are not our players.

“I like them all and want to keep the squad together but we don`t know what the needs of those players are yet. Daryl Murphy, Jay Tabb and Guirane N`Daw have all said they want to stay but we will have to see what happens over the summer. They are all still contracted to their clubs at the moment.”
