Manager Mick McCarthy has made two changes for tonight’s game against Sheffield Wednesday, with Luke Hyam and Jordan Spence coming into the side and Dominic Iorfa and Joe Garner dropping to the bench.

Town should have their tails up this evening in a game that could see them taking all three points but a lot will depend on how they start this evening?

I would hope that with Mustapha Carayol in the side; along with Martyn Waghorn up front, the Blues should be able to prize open this rather vulnerable Wednesday defence, which has conceded a shocking twelve goals in their last four games – which includes the recent 4-0 drubbing at the hands of a rampant Bristol City.

But of course The Tractor Boys are without a clean sheet in 11 league meetings with the Owls, since that 1-0 win at Hillsborough in February 2010 yet manager Mick McCarthy has a proud record against The Owls, having never lost an away match at Hillsborough in his entire managerial career!

And tonight Town will be wearing their red and black away kit bearing the name of their new sponsors Magical Vegas for the first time this evening, in a game that Town will believe they can get points from.

Former Town striker Jordan Rhodes – who of course was sold by Roy Keane starts for Wednesday, as does one-time Town academy schoolboy Morgan Fox and here are the two lineups for the tonight’s match.

Sheffield Wednesday: Wildsmith, Palmer, Lees, Loovens (captain), Fox, Boyd, Jones, Butterfield, Reach, Rhodes, Nuhiu. Substitutes: Dawson, Joao, Pelupessy, Pudil, Preston, Abdi, Venancio.

Ipswich Town: Bialkowski, Carter-Vickers, Chambers (captain), Webster, Spence, Skuse, Connolly, Hyam, Knudsen, Carayol, Waghorn. Substitutes: M Crowe, Iorfa, Celina, Garner, Ward, Sears, Gleeson.

The Referee is Oliver Langford from the West Midlands.

Assistants: James Wilson and Robert Merchant

Fourth official is Carl Boyeson
