Ipswich Town winger-cum-striker Danny Haynes is rumoured to be interesting Pompey boss Harry Redknapp whilst Blues defender Matt Richards is interesting Brighton.
Haynes, having already been linked to a host of Premiership clubs including Pompey, has now been linked to FA Cup winners Portsmouth once more with Redknapp understood to be willing to pay £2 million for Haynes’ signature.
However, a figure of £2 million wouldn’t realistically be enough for Town but a player swap that sees David Nugent come as part of the deal might well be a deal to good to refuse for Town.
Elsewhere, Brighton manager Micky Adams has not ruled out a move for Matt Richards and has conceded that it is in the parent-club’s hands in regards to the player’s availability – if this is true Richards looks a decent bet to be on his way to the south coast.
Former Blues midfielder Ian Westlake, currently contracted to Leeds United where he is reportedly surplus-to-requirements, is also rumoured to be weighing up a move to the south coast outfit.
