Time For Ipswich Home Win

After ending a winless run at Birmingham, even though that was followed by a shellacking at Palace, new Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy will be looking to end an appalling home run.

We have not sniffed a Championship victory at Portman Road since March, a winless run of 10, so beating Burnley would be ideal.

It will be the battle of newish managers with McCarthy and Sean Dyche both taking over last week.

Vital Quotes:

Dyche told the Burnley website: “It`s been a great week, ever more so when you just have had two clean sheets, scored three goals and have the top goalscorer in Europe.

“But I have said it many times, not many teams are, and we are certainly not, the finished article.

“We want to develop further, become more consistent, become more of a force and see where that takes us.

“But it`s been a really, really good week for my staff and we are looking to continue that at Ipswich on Saturday.”

Ipswich Town Team News:

After such a defensive shambles throughout, expect a recall for Guirane N’Daw and probably even Tommy Smith.
Elliott Hewitt is in the squad for the first time and may even jump straight into a starting place with Carlos Edwards getting bumped.

Lee Martin is suspended so JET will probably come back in and Daryl Murphy could be dropped for Michael Chopra as McCarthy stuns everyone and goes a solid 4-4-2
