Today’s reports claim that Huddersfield Town are closing in on Ipswich’s transfer-listed winger Gary Roberts.
The former Accrington winger was first linked with the Yorkshire outfit a couple of days ago and seems to be surplus to requirements at Portman Road despite his recent good form in pre-season.
It also seems that reports linking Huddersfield with Blues striker Alan Lee are wide of the mark with the Irishman determined to remain with Ipswich or at the very least, in the same division.
Roberts is contracted with Town until the summer of 2010 and is likely to go for a fee somewhere in the region of £200,000.
