Rumours have resurfaced that Ipswich Town are pursuing West Bromwich Albion striker Simon Cox, whilst there is also a report linking the Blues with Watford hotshot Danny Graham.

Town had previously attempted to secure a loan move for Baggies frontman Cox during the loan window in March. The 24-year-old, who scored 43 goals in 81 league appearances for Swindon Town before joining West Brom in 2009, was understood to have turned down that approach in favour of impressing new boss Roy Hodgson. However, with the Midlands club rumoured to be chasing Fulham striker Andy Johnson, Cox may be tempted by a move away from the Hawthorns should he fall further down the pecking order.

Meanwhile Watford striker Graham is also reportedly in Town boss Paul Jewell’s sights. The former Carlisle man, who has one year left on his current deal, was top scorer in the Championship this season having netted 24 goals in 45 league appearances. Any move for the 25-year-old seems rather fanciful however, with Town unlikely to be able to offer enough to tempt the Hornets into a sale. In any case, Portman Road looks an unlikely destination for Graham, with Premier League Newcastle United also reported to be chasing his signature.
