Ipswich have already said that they don’t want to sell Connor Wickham but a ‘reported’ £8m could be too much to refuse couldn’t it?

The other name, is Connor Wickham, the Ipswich and England U-17 sensation, who has already developed an outstanding reputation very early in his career. At 6′ 4″ and over 14st, he is already physically intimidating, but to match that he has impressive technical ability and balance, being likened to Wayne Rooney, but much bigger.

Not sure that these comparison’s are every truly accurate or do players any favours, but at Ipswich, some very good judges are predicting he could go all the way and Spurs are not the only club to take serious interest, but it could be down to who is the bravest.

It is claimed that Spurs could do a deal for Wickham and allow him to continue to play for Ipswich, and for me that could work well for all parties. Should a deal be in the offing, I would imagine that Spurs could smooth the way with also offering one or two other kids to Roy Keane, such as Andros Townsend, who has already been linked to the club, but what about Dean Parrett who could learn so much from a former midfield master, whilst he would scare the living daylights out of John Bostock…
