Ipswich Town will make their first appearance on Sky TV this season when Swansea City come to Portman Road on Saturday 4 December after the satellite broadcaster announced that the game is to be shown live.

The kickoff, originally scheduled for 15:00, has now been moved forward to the Saturday lunchtime at 12:45. This follows the East Anglian derby at Norwich a week earlier on 28th November, which is due to be screened live on the BBC.

The game will be notable for pitting Jason Scotland against his former club for the first time. The new Town striker made his name in the Football League at Swansea, scoring 45 goals in 90 league appearances over two seasons with the Welsh side. The Blues will be very much hoping that Scotland can make up for having put two past Town in Swansea’s 3-0 win at the Liberty Stadium back in 2009. The two sides could only battle to two draws against each other in the league last season.
