Shumulikoski to Watford in Summer Window?

Watford gaffer Brendan Rodgers has hinted that he could move for Town midfielder Veliche Shumulikoski in the summer.

Recently, the out-of-favour Ipswich centre-mid was reportedly unhappy at being told he wasn’t allowed to join promotion rivals Preston on loan, with the Blues keen on Shumi joining a lower-placed team.

Watford were also reportedly to be interested, with Ipswich thought to be keen on a loan swap involving a Hornets player.

Rodgers confirmed that his side were in the hunt for Shumi: ‘The interest had dwindled away now. I shall be looking to bring in players in the summer, and he is an intelligent player and could come back into my thoughts.

‘Ipswich were interested in a double swap and you will have to ask them who our player was. But it appears all over for the time being.”
