Shumulikoski scored a stunning goal in the reserves 2-0 win over Watford on Monday, and believes that his performance can win him a spot back in the Town first eleven.

‘It was important to play a game. I think I showed a good attitude. It would be easy to not be at 100 per cent but I wanted to show that I am ready to play,’ he told the club site.

‘It’s frustrating not being in the team at the moment. I train all week but there is no game at the end for me at the moment.

‘I have to keep training hard and be professional and wait for my chance and when it comes, I have to make sure I take it.

‘I have spoken to the manager and he has said exactly that, I must keep doing what I am doing and take my chance when it comes because in football, it will happen.’
