Jason Scotland is set to sign with another club this week after he was paid off by Ipswich Town.

Wolves, Doncaster and Colchester United have already been linked with the 33-year-old who been selected just once by since Mick McCarthy took over as manager in early November.

The Trinidad & Tobago international striker banged in 21 goals in 95 games for the club since joining in 2010 from Wigan and still has loads to offer – on the pitch and in the dressing room.

Town boss Mick McCarthy said: “Jason is a fantastic guy and has been great around the training ground but we are going younger and he`s been missing out.

‘He understands that and wants to go out and play football at the twilight of his career. We wish him well.”
