Manager Roy Keane says he isn’t aware of any Southampton interest in striker Kevin Lisbie, on loan with Colchester United currently.
When asked about the Saints apparent interest, Keano replied: ‘I’m not aware of it but it wouldn’t surprise me if there are clubs speaking to him.
‘We have the option to call him back from Colchester if a club comes in with the right offer we`ll look at that. We`ll just wait and see.’
Lisbie meanwhile didn’t rule out a move away from Colchester, even though the U’s have admitted they can’t afford to keep the Jamaican permanently.
‘If Southampton are interested, I am only on loan at Colchester so obviously anything is possible. I have not asked to go anywhere, but if you ask any player they would love to be settled at a club that has signed them and to be settled somewhere would be good for me.’
