Gaffer Roy Keane can’t wait for David Norris to return to first team action – it’s not long now!

He told the club site how he hopes to bring the midfielder back into the side around Christmas (yikes, it’s only two and a bit weeks away!) and has praised the medical staff and Norris himself for being so close to a return to action, despite initial fears he would be out until the first few months of 2010.

‘It’s great credit to our medical team and David himself that he is close to a comeback and having him involved again will be a real bonus. We have missed his energy and enthusiasm and hopefully we might see him back for us over the Christmas period,’ Roy said.

And because Chuck is so special, Keano is hoping to arrange a reserve match just so he can have some minutes under his belt. He added: ‘We have no reserve team games scheduled so we will look to arrange a friendly or have a practise match next week and get David involved.’
