Richard Wright is a tough nut to crack and that’s what is worrying Ipswich gaffer Roy Keane.

The Town keeper had to be replaced because of injury after just 25 minutes of the Blues’ win against Cardiff on Sunday. Michael Chopra collided with Wrighty, who tried to battle on, but his knee was clearly giving him some problems, meaning Arran Lee-Barrett made a surprise debut.

Ipswich have already lost one goalkeeper in the past week as Asmir Begovic had to return early from his loan spell at Portman Road to cover the injured David James at Portsmouth, and Keano was clearly concerned that he might lose another.

He told the club site: ‘Wrighty doesn’t go down for nothing but we will know more when we have seen the result of the scans.’
