Mick McCarthy has made no secret of his respect of Frazer Richardson, Stephen Hunt and Paul Green.

Nor has he hidden his interest in trying to bring them back to Portman Road next season.

Green and Richardson spent time on loan with the club from Leeds United and Middlesbrough respectively with Hunt signing a short-term contract until the end of the season.

With all three players now free agents they’re free to sign for anyone.

McCarthy insists that nothing is set in stone as far as them joining us permanently is concerned, nor it them not signing ruled out, but he’s spoke very highly of all three of them and praised them during their time at Portman Road.

He’d definitely welcome them back though, telling the official website: ‘All three players, Hunty, Greenie and Frazer were outstanding as professionals in their time with us.

‘They were a credit in the way they worked and the example they set and we will have to see what happens in the future.

‘We might sort something out but it`s not just about us. We will be looking to see what deals are out there but they will be looking to see what is available as well.

‘There is certainly nothing concrete but what I do know is that they`d all come back here.’

Do you think some, or all, will be back at Portman Road next season?
