Ipswich Town Football Club have called a press conference at 11:00 on Friday morning where they are expected to confirm last night’s reports that manager Roy Keane has left the club.
Keane’s appointment in April 2009 was announced by Town less than 24 hours after the dismissal of his predecessor Jim Magilton, with some suggesting that this morning’s conference is to announce a similarly swift appointment. This would be something of a surprise however as there has been no word as yet, though reports overnight claimed that Chris Hughton, Alan Curbishley, Steve Cotterill and Paul Jewell were all in contention to replace Keane.
