Paul Sturrock has confirmed that he has no intention to bring Danny Haynes to Home Park.

He told the official Plymouth site: ‘I can assure you that Danny Haynes is not one of the players I am looking at.’

This comes after Haynes has been repeatedly linked over the past fortnight with a move to the Pilgrims for around £1 million, a figure that seems unlikely given the tight budget that Sturrock is on not to mention the fact they have never paid over £500,000 for any player.

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson recently said that he expected Lee Martin to join Roy Keane at Ipswich, but the Blues boss was quick to put him in his place (even though Johnson was right). Now Sturrock has been talking about one of Keane’s players, maybe Roy will make his feelings known to the media sometime soon.

Brace yourself, Luggy.
