The FA will not take any action over David Norris’ controversial goal celebration nearly two weeks ago, after the Town star apologised in person to the Peak family.

Norris met Amanda and Phil Peak on Monday, after angering the couple by celebrating with a handcuffs gesture as a private message to ex-Plymouth teammate Luke McCormick, the man guilty of killing the Peak’s two boys.

They have since called for an end to the Norris hate campaign that has seen tabloids making him out to be a criminal, and that has also seen Doncaster fans and players target him on the pitch.

It is reported that the FA will write to Norris to warn him over his future behaviour.
