Ipswich Town will not be taking any disciplinary action against five players seen out socialising hours after Paul Jewell left the club.

Skipper Carlos Edwards, who was celebrating his 34th birthday on Wednesday, when he was spotted along with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Josh Carson, Michael Chopra and Paul Taylor in the high profile bar Vodka Revolution.

Unsurprisingly their public appearance, on the same night as the supporters’ AGM was posted on social media and the club was asked by people looking to make a fuss and they said it would be looked into.

But none of the players, who are entitled to a night out and did nothing wrong, are in any sort of trouble, which may disappoint certain sections of the media.

BTW, happy birthday Carlos.
