Ipswich have agreed a three-month loan deal with Southend defender Bilel Mohsni.

The Frenchamn revealed his is expecting to sign a contract with Town tomorrow and go straight into the squad to face Cradiff on Saturday.

Mohsno told the Southend Echo: “I expect to sign for Ipswich tomorrow and it will be a three month deal.

“I came back in to train today and they put me through a fitness test on my own to make sure I`m fit enough to play.

“I`m really pleased that everything is close to being sorted and Ipswich are a good club in the Championship so I`m happy to come here.”

The versatile Mohsni, who can play as an attacking midfielder or even up front, joined Southend on a free transfer in July 2010 and scored 18 goals in 71 games for the club.

He spent time on trial with both West Ham United and Birmingham City, with a week at Ipswch squeezed in between, before Paul Jewell made a renewed move for him.
