McEveley Coming Back to Town?

Just a couple of days after being linked with Derby defender Dean Leacock, Ipswich have been linked with another – former Blues loanee Jay McEveley.

McEveley, a full Scotland international, last appeared for Town two seasons ago when he joined on loan from Blackburn during Joe Royle’s tenure at Portman Road, making 19 appearances in a injury-hit spell.

It has been reported that he would definitely be available for a permanent transfer after reports in the media stated that Derby manager Paul Jewell has put his whole squad up for sale in their mass summer clear-out.
