The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Luton Town this Tuesday.

Ipswich Town travel to Luton Town on Tuesday August 8 for the League Cup Round One tie at Kenilworth Park and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Andy Haines
Assistant Refs: Garry Maskell and Alix Pashley
Fourth Official: Louis Marks

Match Day referee Haines has officiated one game in 2017/18, showing four yellow cards already.

He took in 37 games in 2016/17 with a return of 113 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count this season was seven yellows in the game between Bradford City and Bristol Rovers.

He took in 27 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 86 yellow cards and five red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Oldham and Swindon in April with a total of nine yellows being shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
