Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton has revealed that talks over a move for trialist Ben Thatcher are going well and that a switch to Portman Road may well be on the cards.
The former Manchester City left-back has been on trial with Town over the last couple of weeks and it is believed Thatcher has done enough to persuade Magilton he is worth a move.
Magilton spoke to ITFC official website: ‘I have spoken to Ben and the talks went well. It’s early days though, and he is weighing up his options before we look at taking it any further.’
