Lions Move For Martin

Lee Martin is close to signing for Millwall.

The winger who declined a renewed offer by Ipswich, albeit on less money, is now a free agent but expects to join the Lions today after agreeing a one-year deal.

Millwall’s new boss Steve Lomas swooped for the 26-year-old, former Manchester United midfielder on a free transfer.

Signed for £1.5million by Roy Keane in 2009, Martin has made 100 competitive appearances for Ipswich scoring six goals but has lacked consistency.
