The only way is up for Mick McCarthy who has called on everyone to stick together.

The Ipswich manager refused to rant and rave after his secodn thrashing in four games in charge and prefferred the gently, gently approach.

“The only way we`ll survive and thrive is by being together,” McCarthy told the club site.

“After a defeat like that there are generally some that are pointing fingers and screaming and shouting, but I wasn`t like that because there`s no point.

“It was a poor performance, but I`ve got to keep everyone together and in the right frame of mind to go again for the next one.”

Town take on Peterborough at home this weekend and the sequence, win, get thrashed, win get thrashed, means we will win.
