He has hardly featured for Tony Mowbray’s side this season and is almost certainly available for transfer this January window, especially seeing as his contract is up in the summer. The 29-year-old joined Celtic from Wolves in 2006 after spending nine years at Molineux.

Ipswich may well be in the market for a natural left footed left back, with David Wright and Jaime Peters currently sharing the role. Ben Thatcher is not in Roy Keane’s plans at all and Damien Delaney is playing exceptionally at centre back, with Pim Balkestein also a centre back rather than left back.
