Jim Thinks His Troops Deserved All They Got

Manager Jim Magilton says that his players were well worth their 2-0 win over Derby County at Portman Road on Saturday.

‘I was really pleased for the players, they were very good from the first whistle,’ said the Irishman.

‘Derby came at us after half-time and that was credit to them but we withstood what they had to offer and came back with more and that was very pleasing.

‘There are signs that we are getting back to the sort of form we showed last season at Portman Road.’

The Town boss also reserved special praise for the two strikers: ‘I was pleased for the front two, both scoring and that will be good for their confidence. With Jon Stead and Kevin Lisbie as well we have options up front. They all know the way we play and all are capable of coming in and doing a job for us.’
