Paul Jewell is considering doing thed honourabled thing and resigning after Ipswich slumped to defeat yet aagain.

Without a win in 10 and stuck second bottom Jewell was asked if he was going to quit and told Sky: ‘The way I’m feeling now, I need to think seriously about it.

‘The same thing is happening week in and week out, and I only want what’s best for Ipswich.

‘There’s a point in anything in life that you think it’s not working. We’ve had 11 games now and we’ve got seven points, that’s relegation form and this club doesn’t need that.

‘I will speak and think with the people close to me, I’ll speak with Marcus (Evans, club owner), and we’ll see what the best thing is.

‘He’s been 100 per cent right behind me but I don’t want to keep saying the same things week in, week out. The supporters are obviously unhappy and I fully understand that, what’s important is the good of the team.’

Thanks Paul, close the door on your way out.
