Jay Keen On Scotland

The England u-21 cap has said he would be thrilled if the opportunity was given to him to build an international career with Scotland.

The 20 year old has become a regular in the defence since his loan move from Blackburn and although representing England at u-20 and u-21 levels, he qualifies to play for Scotland through his grandparents.

‘Berti Vogts spoke to Graeme Souness about me a few years back when he was in charge of the Scotland national team. It gave me a lift then and if Scotland expressed an interest in me again then that would be fantastic.

Every footballer wants to play at the highest level and for me that means international football. It’s one of my big ambitions in the game and if Scotland offered me the chance to play on that stage it would be a great honour.’
