Irish International Trains With Town

Mick McCarthy is handing out a favour to another of his former players by allowing Stephen Hunt to train with Ipswich for a week.

The 32-year-old winger is another looking to regain full fitness after failing to find another club following his release from Wolves in the summer.

It is unlikely Hunt will actually sign for Town, and if he did it would be for considerably less than the £32k a week he was reportedly on at Wolves.

MM already has Jay Tabb and Ryan Tunnicllffe available on the left wing and his budget may not stretch that far unless he juggles things around to accommodate a player he paid £3m for from Reading three years ago.
