A butcher from Woodbridge has created and named a sausage after Blues boss manager Mick McCarthy – and it has already proved to be part of the winning recipe.

Town won their first home game in nearly eight months when they beat Burnely and McCarthy has lifted Ipswich off the bottom of the table with two wins from three games in eight days.

Daryl Murphy, a player McCarthy signed when he was Sunderland manager, put the Tractor Boys ahead against Burnley and DJ Campbell hit the winner after Sam Vokes had equalised.

On-loan Celtic striker Murphy has not tasted the manager`s unique bangers, which include black pudding pork, and spices.
“They are not part of our diet,” he told the Daily Express.
