Ipswich Town In Talks With New Defender

Defender Dan Seabourne is close to agreeing a three-year deal with Ipswich Town after impressing on trial.

The 6’3” tall centre back is a free agent after being released by the Saints after failing to make a Premier League appearance for them in their relegation season.

He spent most of last year on loan at Bournemouth and Charlton and Town are keen to bring in the left-footed defender who can play as aleft back or centre half.

Seabourne has the distinction of winning promotion at every level after success in the Conference, League Two, with Exeter City before going up from League One and the Championship with the Saints.

The 26-year-old would be ideal for Town as they look to give Luke Chambers and Tommy Smith more competition for their places.
