Yesterday I said that Town fans expect better. A lot better than what is being dished up at the moment, which is a menu that will not encourage customers to come back in a hurry.

Some of the things that Mick McCarthy does are quite simply unforgivable. He talks the talk but does not walk the walk and it is the same old worn out excuses at the end of every hugely forgettable encounter these days.
He insisted on playing family favourite Cold Skuse again last night and I think it is no coincidence that we lacked any sort of meaningful creativity and with only three genuinely attack-minded players on the field for the Blues, is it any wonder that we did not achieve our ultimate goal which was to win this one, against a side that had lost their last five matches and were just one point from the drop zone.
Wolves in the end could have won it because they played with the greater passion and hit the post and the bar, when both Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Ben Marshall came very close in the later stages of the match.
Only yesterday manager Mick McCarthy talked yet again about the need to entertain and then we play like this? What the hell is going on at Portman Road these days and why can’t he instill some passion into his side? Is it all their fault – surely not?
When McCarthy faced a series of destabilizing injuries to his squad, I could sympathise with his tactics to a point but sadly not anymore.
He had Freddie Sears and Brett Pitman on the bench but instead chose to bring off Tommy Smith with a half hour remaining and replace him with wing back Myles Kenlock!
His next master stroke, with just six minutes remaining, was to introduce Kieffer Moore for Josh Emmanuel and with our two main strikers allowed to sit it out on the bench throughout.
According to McCarthy Pitman has done nothing wrong. I mean how could, he if he never gets on the pitch?
Stubborn Mick is now becoming more stubborn than ever and when he says he does not listen to anyone, you had better believe it. He is a law unto himself and poor Terry Connor must I fear, be nothing much more than a ‘yes’ man.
That performance – or lack of it last night was a middle finger to the Town supporters and his delusional post-match comments afterwards, only cement the view that the season tickets sales for next season are destined to be at an all time low.
