Ipswich rapped up a second successive win as they romped to a 5-2 victory at the KC stadium.

Dean Windass gave Hull the lead following up Stuart Elliott’s header which hit the bar.

Towns reply was quick, a long ball over the top was latched onto by on loan striker Francis Jeffers, who held off the defenders challenge to slot the ball under Boaz Myhill.

The lead was soon doubled by Jaime Peters, who drifted in from the left hand side, to score a deflected shot after good work from Jeffers and Gary Roberts.

The goal has been given to Peter’s after it was initially put down as a Sam Ricketts own goal.

Town went in at the break leading, and having scored their first away goal in seven outings.

The Blues came out firing, and a through ball saw Alan Lee take the ball on, out muscle Sam Ricketts, and slot the ball under Myhill again.

Hulls shocking defending continued when a David Wright freekick was nodded into the path of De Vos by Danny Coles. The skipper poked home from six yards.

Danny Haynes added the fifth, ferociously firing in from inside the area, but the resisted the temptation to perform his now customery dance celebration.

Windass scored from the spot for Hull with time running out, after Welsh was felled by Owen Garvan, but this did not matter, and Town ran up their biggest away defeat of the season.
