Ipswich Ponder Fortune Trial

Quinton Fortune’s agent has admitted that Ipswich are interested in the South African ex-Man Utd player, and manager Jim Magilton says he could join Town on trial.

Although he never shone at United, Fortune has enjoyed a less than successful couple of years since leaving Old Trafford, with a number of injuries his downfall.

However, Jim is prepared to give him a chance, and said: ‘If he was someone who was anywhere near his true fitness, then he is someone we would invite in. There is no problem about bringing in someone of Quinton’s ability to our football club.’
