Ipswich Miss Out?

This summers arrivals at Ipswich are, as we know, likely to be limited to free agents, loans and any possible ‘swap deals’ that could be pulled off.

Two that fall into the free agent category are Yeovil Town pair Byron Webster and Luke Ayling.

Following Yeovil’s relegation back into league one Ipswich could provide the two with a championship platform once again but as things stand Webster, who is also reportedly interesting Leeds United, would seem the more likely.

As he is over 24 no compensation fee would be required but as Ayling, named Yeovil Player of the Year, is under that age compensation would be required and Ipswich might not be willing/able to do so leaving Brentford in pole position perhaps?

Chances are neither will come to Portman Road anyway with reports of an interest nothing more than speculation?
