Reports on the continent have linked Ipswich Town with a move for Slovenian defender Aljaz Struna.

Right-sided player Struna, who turns 21 this week, currently plays for Slovenian top flight side FC Koper where he is team-mates with former Town defender Amir Karic. The Slovenian U21 international, who recently featured in the U21 European Championships, has reportedly been in England to hold talks with the Blues, with an estimated price tag of around £400,000.

Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg has revealed that the Blues are looking to sign two more players before the start of the season on Saturday. Reports yesterday suggested that the Blues are set to sign Blackburn Rovers midfielder Keith Andrews on loan, whilst Town are certainly in need of defensive reinforcements, with right-back an area of particular concern. One defender who looks highly unlikely to join however is Richard Stearman, who is understood to still be in Mick McCarthy’s plans at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
