Yeovil boss Gary Johnson locked his players in their Portman Road dressing room for 45 minutes after going ahead but losing against Ipswich.

Johnson, who used to manage Suffolk club Newmarket before becoming an international manager, then being relatively successful in England as well explained why he kept his players back to the Cidermen website

‘I needed to go through a few things with the boys, said Johnson. ‘We lacked the energy and competitiveness in the second half.
‘We have to play the game more vigorously. We gave Ipswich time and room and you can’t do that at this level. You have to be more clever.
‘We did enough in the first half to be 1-0 up, but we were a little disorganised after the restart. We allowed Ipswich’s experienced strikers to hold the ball up and their experienced full-backs to get forward. We didn’t do enough in the final third.’

It probably didn’t help the Glovers that they made a 442 mile round trip to Suffolk just 72 hours after a 488 mile round trip to Sheffield and having played half of Saturday’s game at Hillsborough with ten men.

Still, who cares Town won.
