Doncaster today completed the signing of Town midfielder Kevin Horlock on a two year deal.

Horlock spent two months of last season on loan at The Earth stadium, but had previously turned down a permanent move, prefering to disacuss a move to an un-named New Zealand club.

Rovers chairman John Ryan announced the deal: ‘This is a great signing for Rovers and we have worked hard to convince Kevin to join us permanently after he had gone back to look at his options.

‘We have had many discussions with Kevin and his agent, which have led to him joining us. Kevin will add quality to the midfield with his calm experienced head commanding the centre.’

The Northern Irishman joined on a free from West Ham in the summer of 2004, and made 62 appearences without scoring.
