Stephen Henderson’s loan at Ipswich ended prematurely, for the second time, after he was recalled by parent club West Ham.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce made the call after an injury to regular goalie and wanted Henderson as cover, even though they don’t have a first team game until next week.
Blues boss Mick McCarthy has a week to get a replacement with the window closing next Thursday.
If not Scott Loach will reclaim his starting place with Arran Lee-Barrett getting to warm the bench once more.
